In the April 2021–April 2021 cold case shootings of six victims, which authorities believe to be the work of a serial killer, an arrest has been made.
Wesley Brownlee, 43, was detained by the police when they learned that six individuals died in the Stockton and Oakland areas.
According to officials, Brownlee was brought into jail early on Saturday morning.
Officials added that “the arrest happened in two sections,” noting that one component resulted from community tips and “good old fashioned police work.”
When the police arrived at Brownlee’s house thanks to tips, they saw him leaving and detained him.
He had a gun in his hand and was wearing dark clothing and a mask around his neck.
“He was on a mission to kill,” officials said Saturday.
“We are sure we stopped another killing,” Stockton Police Chief Stanley McFadden said.
“This crime was solved because we’re Stocktonians,” San Joaquin County District Attorney Tori Verber Salazar said.
Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., Brownlee is expected to be arraigned.
