The FIFA World Cup Qualifying match between Pakistan and Cambodia will take place at Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad, according to the Pakistan Sports Board.
The Normalization Committee of the Pakistan Football Federation requested that Jinnah Stadium be made available as a venue for the upcoming qualifiers, and the Pakistan Sports Board has agreed. The board has agreed to let Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad host the World Cup 2026 qualifying game against Cambodia.
The Normalization Committee has been requested to inspect Jinnah Stadium on August 17 in order to confirm the suitability of the location. Although a formal letter has not yet been sent, the Punjab Sports Board has expressed verbal support for offering Punjab Stadium as a choice.
In order to host the qualifiers, the normalization committee must submit a thorough venue report to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) by August 18th. AFC members will visit the site once it is chosen to judge its viability.
On October 17, Pakistan and Cambodia will play at home, making this a crucial moment in Pakistan’s World Cup qualifying campaign. On October 12th, Pakistan will play Cambodia in Cambodia in the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifying round.
