A “terrifying” flight home on which the plane’s engine “exploded four times,” LOVE Island’s Ekin-Su described her fear.
After “sparks and flames” broke out en route to Manchester, the reality star’s jet had to make an emergency landing 421 miles away.
After rekindling their romance, Ekin-Su Cülcülolu and her ex Davide Sanclimenti were traveling back from a vacation in Bodrum.
She updated her followers on her dramatic experience while flying as the plane was diverted to Antalya.
She tweeted, “Nightmare experience,” along with the airline’s handle, Jet2.com.
“The left engine on the flight from Bodrum to Manchester exploded four times with flames and sparks.”
“It was like something out of a movie,” she continued. “There was an emergency in Antalya. The most terrifying situation ever!”
“Still concerned about whether we’ll get there safely.”
Jet2.Com’s travel information indicates that flight LS984 was diverted to Antalya and landed there at 02.15am.
According to a spokesperson, on August 24, after the crew reported a technical issue, flight LS984 from Bodrum to Manchester followed standard procedure and safely diverted to Antalya.
Customers were given hotel accommodations in Antalya and were flown home last night due to the late hour.
“At no time was anyone’s safety jeopardized, but of course we would like to apologize for the disruption caused,” the statement continued.
After a jarring breakup, Ekin-Su and Davide confirmed they are back together.
Ekin-Su, a stunning Turkish woman, was taken on vacation by Davide to Bodrum, where they have been unwinding in a five-star hotel.
As they reflected on their time on Love Island, the couple posted pictures of themselves lying on a daybed in the sun.
After viewers fell in love with their passionate on/off relationship, they won the show last summer.
As soon as Ekin-Su tweeted from the plane, fans rushed to console her.
