A severe dust storm tore through Karachi’s Al-Asif Square in Sohrab Goth on Tuesday afternoon. The dust storm is reportedly a precursor to Cyclone Biparjoy, which is reportedly dangerously close to Sindh’s coastal region.
On social media, a video of the dust storm is currently trending. Huge wind gusts and sand blowing across the dusty desert roads are captured on camera while the bus is in motion.

The Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm (ESCS) “Biparjoy” over the northeast Arabian Sea moved further north-northwestward during the previous twelve hours, according to the details.
It is currently located near Latitude 20.7°N and Longitude 67.1°E, about 470 km south of Karachi and 460 km south of Thatta, and has weakened into a Very Severe Cyclonic Storm (VSCS).
Maximum sustained surface winds are between 140 and 150 km/h with gusts up to 170 km/h. According to reports, Sindh is currently being evacuated as the cyclone approaches the city of lights in dangerously close proximity.
